Graduation Ceremonies
This week I thought I would write about my graduation ceremonies.
High School
This graduation ceremony went pretty well though the speakers took a long time. This old man went on a long baseball metaphor. It felt like a huge accomplishment because it was the culmination of 13 years of education and I had a bad case of senioritis. I was so excited to be an adult and go to college. It was nice being with friends I grew up with. Leanna had the Jordan High graduation at 10:00 AM at the Maverik Center and my Hillcrest High one was at 6:00 pm at the same place. The only bad thing was that the girls had to wear white caps and gowns that really washed out a pale person like me. Grandma and Grandpa Cressall also went to that one with Papa. Leanna and Mom sat separately.
College
I did not go to my USU one and I regretted that for a long time. I did not walk with my fellow political science graduates. I made up for it by going to my SLCC graduation when I got my history AA. It was at the Maverik Center so it was de ja vu. Only Mom and Leanna went to this one because Papa was in Netherlands. It was nice and I wore a black cap and gown. An actress from Jane the Virgin was the speaker.
Graduate School
This was the best because the whole family was there including Katie. She was always living other places for the previous ones. I also had a brother in law, David. I wrote about it last week but it was nice. I even sat on the front row. It was nice wearing the history honor society cords and the master's hood. The APU one also was pretty short and it was great it was in Maryland!
