NHMU Update
I have been an animal handler at the natural history museum for the past 3 months and have loved it. I get to work with amazing animals and there is a lot less procedure to follow than at the zoo. Looking back I realize how truly unhappy I was at the zoo. It was a great opportunity and I learned and grew a lot. However, I am so much happier in my teaching job and volunteering at the museum. Life is too short to be in a job that makes you sick and anxious everyday.
Another sick week and grad school
It was Thanksgiving break this past week, but I spent most of it working on schoolwork and fighting my cold that will never end. I got antibiotics for my sinus infection on Monday, but they did not work. It must be a viral infection and I will just have to suffer through it. It doesn't help that I have to sub twice this week. However, I am so grateful for my job and the time spent with family on Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Break
I'm still battling the nasty illness. I am glad it's only a two day week at work. I do have a lot of homework to do though so that will eat up much of my free time. I'll post next Sunday if I survive this sickness!

Sick Weekend
On Friday, I woke up feeling weak and chills were all over my body. By the afternoon, I had the most searing pain in my throat. I stayed home all weekend fighting off another cold. The cold I had in September lasted 3 weeks, so I am doing everything in my power to nip this cold in the bud. I guess illness is what comes with teaching.

Denver Trip
I got back from my trip to Denver on Wednesday night. It was so nice to only have to teach one day last week. This week I don't have to teach on Friday because it is a professional development day. We were supposed to start our intensive language arts center this week, but now we won't start until next week. Almost half of our kiddos read below grade level. I will update next week!
