JNSLC Week 4
I am flying back to Utah today! I am also starting teacher training at APA tomorrow. STEM was great! The kids were great and I loved going to NASA. I gave a physics lesson Friday too. There was some dating disappointment on registration day but a month was a long time to be gone. I will update!

JNSLC Week 3
The second session of government was rough. Our student evaluations were rough and the kids were not as interested in government as I expected. I still care about them though. I am doing STEM this week so it will be different. I can't believe I go home next Sunday. I did a day trip to Philadelphia yesterday which was fun. I saw Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and Benjamin Franklin Square. I was also ghosted by the boy I went out with before I left. I didn't expect him to wait. A month is a long time.

JNSLC Week 2
The whole first session went by in a blur. The kids were all smart and very mature, but there were other issues. On Monday, there were heavy rainstorms and flooding in DC but they still made us go on the monument tour. A taxi crashed onto the sidewalk in front of the Archives and that was scary. The storms came back Thursday and a lot of the kids' flights were cancelled. I was also in charge during most of the simulations and field trips. Oh well. The new group of students come tomorrow! I went to the zoo yesterday too!

JNSLC Week 1
I have been in DC for 5 days and our first group of middle school and going into high school kiddos arrive tomorrow! I am so excited to teach my congressional simulation again. I hope I have a good TA group. There are only 6 students in it. I will update how the first session goes!
